Position Overview 

Tuckernuck is looking for a results-driven Director of Growth Marketing to take the lead in developing long-term strategic growth for our company through our Ecommerce business. As the Director of Growth Marketing, you will be responsible for strategically growing sales on tnuck.com and optimizing our P&L as we expand. The ideal candidate is a numbers-driven, tech-savvy leader who can manage a fast-growing DTC site. This person will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of tnuck.com with a major focus on optimizing the performance marketing channels to drive sales. They will set the strategic goals for acquisition and retention and implement improvements to achieve these metrics.  They will manage site development to increase conversion and improve the online customer experience to maximize site usability, performance, and ROI.


This leader will leverage data to continuously improve on the site experience, presenting insights and recommendations to drive sales and conversion. The candidate is expected to be an analytica,  data-driven product manager with a high level of ecommerce operations and project management expertise who likes to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative work environment. The role will involve cross-functional collaboration with our marketing, creative, operations, planning, finance, and retail teams. 


Core Responsibilities

  • Build, plan, and implement the overall digital marketing roadmap and strategy.  This will include the strategy for customer acquisition and retention to support the company growth plans for the next two years and implement initiatives to execute on this strategy. 
  • Manage all digital marketing channels to ensure brand consistency
  • Develop specific campaigns to create and maintain high levels of customer interaction
  • Oversee the the digital marketing team and set key traffic-driving initiatives, optimize SEO, and utilize key product and merchandising strategies to drive channel growth. Motivate and develop the team to achieve goals.
  • Optimize all third party digital marketing functions and make changes in order to improve KPIs and ROAS coming from these marketing channels
  • Measure, report and improve key performance metrics regarding site traffic, conversion analysis and user behavior.
  • Build, enhance, and manage the site through all aspects of site layout, product positioning, navigation, merchandising, functionality and entire online checkout funnel.  Work collaboratively with internal teams on executing changes to the site flow and functionality. 
  • Manage site, build roadmap, project manage and effectively prioritize initiatives. 
  • Actively monitor daily data flow between front end, order management, and internal systems; working with appropriate partners to resolve any discrepancies and issues.
  • Oversee daily and weekly reporting for the internal management team. Oversee preparation of monthly hindsight and contribute to monthly financial review and results analysis with the Executive team.
  • Leverage business analysis and strong understanding of financial metrics to track selling, identify key trends and maximize opportunities in the assortment to achieve growth and profitability of the ecommerce business.
  • Monitor competition and provide ideas to stand out by using our brand competitive advantages


Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of e-commerce experience preferably at an apparel company
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, MBA a plus


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • P&L or line of business management experience, core operational strength and the ability to make budget decisions to drive business success
  • Passion and drive for achieving short term financial goals and long term strategic growth goals
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret extensive data to make actionable recommendations
  • Performance Marketing experience and and proven track record of success 
  • Exceptional project management skills - technical and/or product management background a plus
  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end ecommerce processes including clear understanding of website infrastructure, content management, product attribution, and customer-facing functionality
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work quickly, efficiently and strategically with a wide range of internal departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, develop, and grow teams. Able to manage up, down and across with results
  • Proficient in M.S. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
