Salary:         Competitive salary and benefits package based on qualifications; classified as full-time salaried; exempt and not eligible for overtime.

Position Overview

Tuckernuck is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support our third party buying strategy, open to buy process, business analysis, purchasing, flow of goods, team relationships and vendor communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to self-motivate and drive initiative, while having a deep understanding of our brand and customer. He or she will be an extremely efficient administrative professional who is detail oriented, deadline driven, highly organized, flexible and reliable. This person will have great follow through and the demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is key.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Set up new vendor contacts & payment terms
  • Manage internal product creation, upc imports, and purchase orders for Buying Directors
  • Maintain vendor relationships and terms by responding quickly and accurately to both internal (company) and external (vendor) questions and requests for information. Research problems & provide creative solutions
  • Maintain internal buying presentations ensuring photography and data align with purchase orders
  • Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and making recommendations for process improvements in a timely manner.
  • Assist in daily tasks to support the senior management of the third party Buying Department
  • Work cross functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, Logistics, Operations, Production, Sample & Styling teams when necessary

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 1+ years of related experience


  • Passion for the Tuckernuck brand and interested in retail/ fashion
  • Obsessed with details and constantly double checking
